I think I can be the greatest sis of the year - skipped class to help out my bro for some photo shoots of his Adidas collection, so that he can provide picture samples to sell. Speaking of collection, he IS the true Adidas collector, and you'd be truly amazed by the varieties of jackets and sneakers he has, ranging from lizard to leopard, from panda to french fries etc.

Little model was a pretty girl named Vicky. I have no idea where my bro found such treasure, it's my first time meeting her anyway! What I know's only that she's flying back to Melbourne tomorrow. Okay, her body shape damn leng! AND HER LEGS ARE THE FAIREST LEGS I'VE EVER SEEN AU MAI GAWD. Kinda difficult to shoot, because her legs always got overexposed!

Just another ordinary day, with the same routine - wake, move butt to toilet (apparently that is a VERY DIFFICULT task for me), drive, eat what teachers say, drive, homework, laptop, sleep. Not forgetting, a lot of iPhone harassing sesh in between.

This new term, Wednesday will be the best. Class from 12-4pm. I've hence decided to do little shooting every Wed after class. Hope it succeeds!

Today was my mini presentation. Actually I wasn't really nervous and afraid when I was outside speaking, when everyone was looking at me, when it suddenly became so quiet and what everyone did was just stare and listen... It's just so weird that my legs and hands were trembling so seriously I couldn't even control. This is a very weird feeling! I spoke naturally and comfortably but my body didn't.

Entering the phase of university, things changed again. It made me realize that everyone does everything for a motive, and fundamentally, nobody is excluded from being selfish.

I am again bothered by the question: one year, or two? (to UK)

That day, I went Poco with dh. The girl passed me a paper torn from primary school's exercise book with brown cover, one with big squares for Chinese words. Came along was a bucket of 'worn-out' color pencils and she wanted me to write about my ambition (definitely not teacher, doctor, police! HAHA). I added some scribbles of camera and the round round Earth.

You know, I really want my dreams to come true.

But sometimes, it's not just all about fighting hard enough to fulfill 'em. It's about responsibilities, expectations and the set path that has been proven to be safe and good.

It's always easier to obey a rule, than to break.

In the same way, it is always easier to walk along the line, than to create unnecessary waves.

Hello minced meat pan mee! ♥

I've finally gotten my baby rangefinder camera, Canonet QL17 G3 from Lomo Crewz (Facebook) last week! Had long been planning to get myself one. Other than the classic and unique appearance, I wanna feel how it's like to shoot using films :) Anyway, it's wholly manual: even the light meter no longer functions. Fortunately, I have my iPhone in hand every day, so I'll just have to download some free light meter apps and follow the respective aperture and shutter values :) Anyway, it's quite affordable also: RM450 inclusive of strap, cap and two rolls of film.

Was quite busy last week. Just now while driving home from school, decided to ask Bui to do me a favor: mini photo shoot with my new love! I AM SO THANKFUL, at the same time, sorry for being so picky! Y'know, it's actually my face problem, not your skills problem :P

Someone adjusted my setting to ISO 1600 and I DIDN'T REALIZE. *smack head* That explains the noise...

Hello white pearls! ♥

Yesterday's yesterday's shots. Since I'm free today, I'll just try giving you some 'stories' (short ones) behind every pic :) Captions are above every picture.

#1. Navy polka dots dress and chili red flats

I wasn't sure if blue and red were great match, but it seemed that I didn't have a lot of choices! Anyway, I at least know they both belong to the primary color group. No? Okay, I fail paints I admit.

#2. The Eiffel romance

Of so many unique structures on Earth, Eiffel is one that really touches my heart. To take a closer view, it's as simple as having a peak and four 'legs'. Yet, it's become one of the favorites for photographers. But ... everything's not as amazing as it seems, always. Beautiful spots would bring in tourist and that's when commercialization sets in. Imagine a heavenly beautiful little corner with warm and lovely residents. And suddenly, business stalls start setting up, crowds come squeezing in and everything is about money, money, money. Beauty redefined. And it'll never go back to what it once was.

#3. Super sampler, four in a row

I actually regret buying it. On a fortunate note, it wasn't too expensive. It is actually quite hard to play along with, as you have to roughly estimate your position since no view finder is provided. Still, I keep it as my collection. Some might think collecting is such a waste of money, but it's actually of infinite value. Imagine 20, 30 years later. Antique doesn't need an explanation to be collected, right? And you spend more here, you spend less there. It just depends on how you invest.

#4. The ol' skool

One thing, the vignette isn't photoshopped. In the era of black and white, everything was simple. Resolution and quality weren't what you should be picky on, pictures were what you shoot without even having the chance to look how they'd look like. Digital undeniably improves and redefines photography, you can shoot 1000 pictures for free and select only the ones you like. But, that's when you think too much. With film cameras, there is a different and unique feeling watching your processed pictures appear on papers, as compared to loading 'em up via Photoshop. And you'll never know what you're gonna get till it's processed. Sometimes, the simplest things can be the most beautiful ones. And I personally adore the natural film grain!

Ironic as it seems, once gone, forever gone. Time is the best med.

#6. Coffee loyalist

I've forgotten, since when I fell in love with coffee, specifically Latte. It's a feeling you can't really explain. The moment you take in the aroma, and your soul is floating with pleasure. What makes a beautiful morning? Beautiful weather, beautiful mood, beautiful environment and... beautiful coffee.

#7. Have you forgotten your umbrella?

Popped out of nowhere, I think it looks very sweet! Transparent body with pink clasp.

#8. Vintage, oh vintage

I know I've posted too many pictures of this suitcase! But I can't help :) Every time I take pictures of it, the pictures just stand out (for me), because the leather and floral pattern are too beautiful! From Lovely Lace.

#9. Photo folds

My boyfriend made me this on my birthday and I really love it. Sometimes it's just not bout how expensive or pretty a gift is, it's about the sincerity and effort behind. He handmade a lot of crafts for me, and he claimed nobody would ever have the power to make him stay days and nights trying to get the crafts well done. I keep all of the lovely gifts from him in a small cupboard and it's locked :) It keeps adding and I think I need a second cupboard soon! :P Oh, thank you thank you, dh!

I always don't feel good about breaking routine.

Saturday is boyfriend day, but this week I spent with Bui and Brenda. Great morning, dears! As for Fi, we'll be out on Monday, instead :) Sorry, boy!

As for so many years, I've been playing the big sister role, and I've never gotten really tired of it. Having to take care others is always better than the other way round, at least it doesn't make me feel like a dependent parasite. And I've long gotten used to this kind of life. Most importantly, I am really glad to have had all my sisters around, be it one with a blood relation and ones without. We're still very intimate.

I am not good at expressing, because I either feel too shy, or weird to tell people how much they mean to me. But truly madly deeply, I love all of my sisters! And we shall rock on :)

A very professional way to suck money from us -_- Bought these sweet temptations for CHARITY (oh yeah, I'm good!) yesterday. The icing is fantastic (appearance, not taste, unfortunately)! I surfed the net to get some cupcakes shooting inspirations but it turned out to be so different from those beautiful pixies. Maybe I'll try again, next time!

One more day to school! Semester two's surely gonna drive me crazy. Whatever the case, I'll be strong! :D Still, I wish I would still have time to do things I like!

Today is a very happy day! I know I blog really less about my daily activities, because I know it surely bores you! See, I sho caring! By the way, I'm having stomachache now. Ouch. But, I'm just lazy to walk to the tandas. Bro's friends came over for party, and I don't think a girl walking in pajamas looking like a sakai looks appealing to 'em. Anyway, it's ironic to realize that I don't recognize any of his friends (aumaigawd!). Don't know which hole they climbed out. But I have got used to it. My brother simply has too rich of a social life.

Fi came over this morning and I am really glad mommy loves the Twinings tea he bought for her! What's kind of upset is that she still pronounces him as my friend. But, hey, we'll keep trying! :):) Be positiveee! ♥

And I spent the whole afternoon taking power nap with him at his house because we didn't know where to head and we were too sleepy. Pigs are meant to be together. HAHAHA. Lunch then Baskin Robbins. Both of us oh lih duu after that! :S But I really treasure every moment. We meet each other only once a week!

Dinner with mom's side at night. Aunty and uncle from Germany are back! Everyone was so happy because there was karaoke set at the restaurant. Like what Car Yi said, music brings people together. Agree! We were the last guest to leave, and it was really a great night.

I'm missing my sisters (I hope they mish me too! Heh)! Steph, your hair was sho long and straight by then!!

Yawns. 1.42am. Did I improve? Bui sleeping beside like a pig (:P). Time for boyfriend. Bais!

Yeah right, I will sleep early tomorrow onward - BIGGEST LIE. 2.05am. I have improved for an hour at least! Two more days and school starts. So stingy! Two weeks of holidays for three point five months of hard work! D: Better than nothing right -.- Anyway, pa's side came over today and I didn't realize my family has grown this big. Oh my God. And I realized, too, that I'm getting really anti-social. Ugh. Sorry, I just do not know how to go talk naturally with people I am not close with! :(

On day 1 of Chinese New Year, pa brought us to Genting. I do not have kampung, so yeah ... Very crowded that day, and a lot of foreign workers! Wasn't really good, but still, it's the company that matters! :) Brought Wena and Yani up too, and they went to the theme park while we 'tan' coffee at Starbucks. I think my parents can be the best employer of the year. Lol. Private car sending 'em up, free theme park entry tickets and free lunches for both of them y'know! And we had waited them to finish playing before we headed back! But they deserve it lah, they serve and treat us real well! :)

What always halts you from sleeping, actually?

I don't know, but if you really want me to provide a reason, I'd just say I am simply too lazy to do so. It's amazing how much I've changed since secondary (and many people have been mentioning about that), from a very discipline girl that couldn't permit herself to sleep after 10 to a girl that doesn't mind staying through the midnight doing stupid stuff. Anyway, I am always fearful to stay up late, because it provides a platform for my mind to craze, thinking things I am not supposed to. And it also is in those nights, I realize how diminutive I am, relative to the whole Universe.

I've several puzzle pieces scattered right now, and I can't fix 'em.

Are you a psychologist? Can you help me?

If freedom had smell, I would have been suffocated by its aroma. To note, however, it's kind of weird that I do not feel that relieved. Maybe I'd been grasping something horrible for too long that when I am finally allowed to release, it takes a while to adapt and come to the realization that yes, exam is over, yes, it IS over and holidays have knocked. Anyway, it is just a mid-term (Hello, really? Is that what causes you to have felt so stressed?). Rachel and I both agreed we're so gonna stressed die when finals arrive. You know what? Whatever. Let me just realize all of my plans for this very very very short holidays (two weeks, inclusive of CNY holidays, damn you Taylor's).

Speaking of Taylor's, I think I have the right to at least grumble a lil'. It started when they organized an award-giving ceremony for all book prize winners. In the letter of invitation, it's stated that we'd be getting cheque as rewards by Dec 2011. It turned out, our excitement became disappointment as they claimed the cheque would only be ready by second week of January. So we waited patiently and today (second week of Jan), we went and asked again. They were so blur and asked who told us so and asked us to walk here and there to refer to different departments and finally they told us that we'd only be able to get it by early February, which I highly doubt. Disappointment turned into fury. If you're not even sincere to give us this money as sweetener for our hard-coreness in the past year, might as well just pass us a certificate, were do. When we delay our payments for our courses, they get so paranoid (as if it'd become a bad debt) that they sms a reminder the next day of the due date. What's more, penalty is charged for late payments. Ironically, when it comes to payment to US students, they do not even bother to care. Can we also charge you, the prestigious university with 11000 students (yet not enough parkings), penalty too, then? IT IS JUST SO UNFAIR. Really, keep your money if it means so much for you. Really, if you're just trying to momentarily please us, keep it in your pocket.

Pffts. Done complaining. Chill, sister!

Yeah, I know right, I update so frequently till you get so bored and do not even bother to look at me already! :S Ah, sorry. Don't know what else I can do. Am sure I'm gonna hate myself for pampering myself too much now, when results are out. Sigh, whatever. Can I just do what I feel like doing? Hmm?

Feeling that people around me are one by one leaving, not physically. I'm not good at reaching out to say, hey, come back ... please? Deep down, I think I fail miserably at handling relationships, be it family, love or friendship. Every time I feel disappointed of them, I never fail to wonder the next second, did I make them feel the same? And sometimes I too wonder why human nature is always such that you appreciate people who do not give a damn about you, and neglect people who truly care for you. Whatever the case, my personality also plays a major role. I am shy, and egoistic at the same time. I will not say I Love You simply, and I think hugging my mom is weird. I am egoistic, in the sense that I will not easily say Sorry even when I'm wrong, and I will just go dislike someone who do not see eye to eye with me. Oh and, I think too much, at times. I never seem to handle jokes well, because I just take them all too seriously. A very positive sentence might work its subjectivity to become the end of the world to me. I do not trust people easily, because I never believe they truly care for me. Everyone does everything with a motive. At such, when I really trust someone, and he/ she does something out of expectancy, that is it for us. I do not say, but that does not mean I do not feel. To be honest, I hardly ever feel comfortable with the people I am with, simply because I am never able to accept that everyone is different.

Sometimes I agree to the way to keep everything just in heart, because that's the most secure insurance. But sometimes, the heavy load just leaves me suffocating and the only channel to release it is by wetting my pillow and talking to some soft toys which will forever not respond.

I think I talk too much tonight. Wish me lucks for test tomorrow! :)

Got the idea of using papers as background instead of fabric from Hanna's blog :) The best part is that papers don't have the fold lines, so I don't have to go iron my fabric before I shoot! And again, not like I was too free to have shot all these lame stuff. Just trying to spare ten to fifteen minutes to relax. Hehs.

Wanna collect lomo cameras because they look so pretty omg! But it's too expensive. I don't need it to be functional, I just want to capture the beautiful shapes! :(

I've been playing since I got home just now as if my exam's over. Oh no! Three more papers next Mon - Wed & after that, I shall go run on a beautiful lawn like the girl in The Sound of Music: [picture here]. Actually I'm feeling guilty :S They always say I sure dim, can memorize everything like a type writer, but I honestly think they overestimated me. Why still keep saying that I'm too geng when they themselves are in fact way more intelligent?! And I don't know how to deny, because people will think I'm trying to act humble -.- Anyway, they'll stop saying after results are out, so I'll just bear it for now ...

After months of shooting outdoor, I tried indoor just now, Bui's pinkish room! Lighting was still okay, but could be better. A lot of deleted blur pictures, thanks to my forever shaking hands. Every time I've gotta hold my breath for several times so that I won't shake my camera. It's so suffering! :(

Hello cheesey bread! ♥

Hrms, can't believe this's already my 401th post! Thinking of the days when I just started blogging ... Omg, so childish! (that doesn't mean I am any more mature now :P) My oldest-est-est-est blog (just how many blogs I've had before?!) was deleted. Oh yeah, I used to be a delete freak (& I still am one but I at least improved). Y'know that kind of moment when you feel everything's totally space-wasting and everything you've written's so pointless that you can't wait any one second more to vanish it? Well, I'm glad I've made it till here, without deleting this blog :P Of course (old habits just don't change), in between, I did try to vanish it (again), but I did not at last. Hehs. You may think you've got a long way to go, but you need to look back at how far you've already come. True, true.

It's a nerd set mommy bought for Bui & me! Earrings (one nerd boy and one nerd girl), ring and necklace. We almost screamed when we first saw it, and it's kind of the last minute already! I don't know how many fabulous accessories you've seen, but so far, this's the most beautifully refined set I've ever seen. I'm not sure if elegance could be applied, but it's definitely dainty.

Sorry, I don't mean to copy you, but that font is really nice! Hope you don't mind! :) By the way, Shoutmix is no longer working free. I'm thinking whether to pay, or to use Blogger's default comment function? But, if I use the latter, will you still leave comments? :(

I think quite a number of you do not really like the idea of editing. Yeah, everyone prefers orginals. I was kind of upset realizing that people must have thought me as being an edit-freak and that my pictures have no quality/ value at all. It's just pure editing. Then one of my friends in Instagram told me ...

I think taking a snap is an edit in itself: the lighting used, angle of the shot, type of camera, depth of field, focal point, etc. We never capture a scene 'as it is', hence there is no unedited photos. For me, if you edit using an app/ software, it's just editing the edit further. If some people like more realistic pictures, good luck to them. Be pragmatic, and do what works for you ... if you want! The naysayers will leave and those who appreciate you will gather around. My guess is that you'll be more satisfied pursuing your own passion than second guessing what others might want you to do. Good luck, Mandy!

Honestly, it touched and inspired me, a lot. And it made me remember a quote: the limitations in photography is in yourself.

Guess I really have got to stop thinking how others would think of my photos and how they'd leave harsh comments saying I shouldn't do this, do that. They prefer this and that. Hopefully, I can develop my own style but not trying to be the shadows of others. Good luck, Mandy! :)

Hello herbal jelly milk tea! ♥

Too bad I have fat and short legs (really not an overstatement), or else I would look good (*flip hair*) in flats. Girls constantly, I think, have the perception that wearing heels makes legs sexier, but for me, a girl in flats is so much hotter, y'know, smoking and burning HOT. But of course, the condition is that you gotta have thin thigh first lah. Oh I wish I had that! Recently on flats craze. And I bought this navy blue flats from Korea, with a really reasonable price, thanks to my mommy (I would never dare cutting price for the sellers because I am more afraid that they'd earn too less than my wallet'd burns a hole, lol). Anyway (since when I am so good at switching topics -.-), I really love to see my feet looking fat and round at front. I'm a size 36 (shoe size, mind you) and I do agree my feet look really cute in flats. HAHAHA (slap me please!). Just the feet part anyway, it starts to go wrong by the thigh level .___.

Throwing you bunches of crap isn't really healthy. Oh well. Please forgive me, having the exam syndrome. I think everyone agrees I am not that hardworking anymore, and that really worries me. Even my mom asked me, no need study meh? (she hadn't done that since primary school) And sometimes I really am not sure if I was doing the right thing. They say you have to balance up - play and work. But where is the cut off point? Oh my God, save me. Can I be like last time?! Because I'm sure I'll get really depressed when the results are out. It's only a mid-term. How bout finals? AH. Dies.

Anyway, I'm finally in the blogging mood. To be exact, I'm feeling good now, after so many days. Hello xin ramen (Korea's tastes so much better)! ♥

I know you mish me like mad. I know you vishit my page everyday and got disappointed for the non-updates. I know you looove me! Well yesh, I'm finally back from the frozen fridge - Korea! Speaking of weather, it's by far the coldest place I've ever been. The extreme was negative ten degrees celsius. And M'sia is thirty-two now. Aumaigosh, a differnce of forty-two! That explains why I looked so hawt today -.-

So we went to three parts of Korea - Jeju island (beneath Korea), Alpensia skiing town, Seoul. Jeju is by the south, so it's around 7-8 degrees.

Night 1 was spent on plane. Time difference is 1 hour :)

{day 1}

Like finally, we arrived Jeju. There're just soooooo many Dunkin Donuts in Korea! And it's so sweet can die!

The oily face + oily hair + oily body me after hours of flight and not bathing.

This is something I really love! Didn't know there exists such museum just for teddy bear! Hence the name, teseum. IT IS SHO DAMN AWESOME.

Off to a hill. Sorry the whole trip I was busy sleeping in the bus so I didn't really listen to the tour guide so I don't know exactly the name of the places we'd been. The guide was like a Sejarah teacher! Even my parents got hypnotized by his words! HAHA.

This is a type of tech which uses lasers to carve photos on wood. Of all the samples they exhibited, this looked really appealing to me. Others were just normal (and boring) family photos with everyone standing straight and smiling the same way. This couple was just so sweeeeeet!

The clouds were so thick and fluffy I couldn't get my eyes off 'em!

Lunch. Did I mention? Korean food is like so not my type! AH. No offence, just personal likes. They serve a lot of small plates with raw veges and all. And aloooooot of BBQs and boiling meat. It's like you get full, but with no ohm! :/ I missed M'sia's food so much! And as comparison, Japanese food tastes so much niceeeer! P:

Hotel.

Skiing town! HAPPY. But it's VERY COLD. Negative five with snow and wind.

Didn't take any photos throughout the whole skiing process because it was dark and too cold. It was hard at the beginning, because we couldn't even secure our shoes on the ski. The guy VERY SANFOO-LY helped me secure it and I was like Thank God, then the next minute, I slipped and fell and the things went off and I had gotta do it again -.- It's so easy to fall! Still, I was proud to have accomplished! :D

{day 4}

Journey back to Seoul. Three hours drive. Snow was all over!

And this is mom in the skiing ground. Couldn't take more because we were too cold. My hands couldn't even hold the camera properly.

X'mas eve day! There're a lot of Christians and Catholics in Korea, so the x'mas atmosphere was strong! :)

I'd never really seen an octopus and now I finally do. It looks so much uglier than what I was taught to draw in kindergarten! :S

By the way, I brought my Strawberry Lomo with me this trip! Hehs.

Off to a place I love the most among all the attractions! It's the royal palace :) And it's SO beautiful. The dried trees and the snowy lake, not forgetting the beautiful temples. I think I love it so much is also because I've finally been to a place where one of my favourite Instagrammer, Komeda took photos. Click this for his photos: [komeda] Some people claim it's boring because the photos look too similar. For me, each photo of his is still somewhat different in all the similarities. And most importantly, he always includes a solo/ couple inside. Very very inspiring! And I hope I could edit like the tone of his pics. So wonderful!

I know I didn't extensively cover the whole trip and pictures are quite less and not really good.

Reason 1: Too cold, could not hold camera properly.

Reason 2: It's a trip with travel agency, so I couldn't ask 'em to stop at places I would wanna shoot. And when I found something interesting, everyone's like waiting for me to complete the shoot and go back to bus. Damn paiseh.

Reason 3: No mood, don't know why.

Reason 4: Deleted a lot of pictures. My photography confidence suddenly dropped a lot.

Reason 5: My dad's friend didn't seem to understand why I would wanna spend so much to buy such bulky camera and I thought his words are kinda insulting to me. Do you seriously think carrying a big camera + a big lens everyday on your shoulder is fun? Oh well, at least I don't have to explain to anyone of you who doesn't understand.

Reason 6: Lighting wasn't really good at most places (indoor).

Anyhow, it's still a wonderful trip with family! :D Thanks moma, popa, and Bui for pui-ing me! :D And the best thing about Korea is shopping! I once got so amazed with Pipit Zakat and Poco and all those handmade stuff in M'sia. But after this trip, I realized there're so much more wonderful and cute and awesome and whateveryoucanthink stuff which I would never think of! Their ideas are just too cool! So many vintage stuff. Bumped into a shop named Humming J with all those vintage wooden toys. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough money to buy. AH, I'm still thinking bout it! :(

Since I won't be here during Christmas, gotta blog about it first! :) Last week I went for x'mas shopping to get some presents for exchange sessions. Too bad, I could't wait to reveal some of 'em first because they look too pretty! AHH can't surprise my loved ones anymore! :( But it's still okay, got heart can dy lah! :P

In the process of selecting, I bought things for myself too! *evil* Just couldn't resist! Kind of weird huh - trying to buy presents for others just to end up doing it for myself. HAHAHA. My Diva's mustache. I always thought mustache is spelled moustache. Then I saw the red wave below -.- To remember, I made myself into thinking it as must ache. Oh yeah, such hairy thingie above lips must be itchy and irritating hence aching! :P

Currently 'enjoying' a short break, before I get back to class by 2pm. I know it's really petrol-wasting, but I just wanna go home! My parents have been having that stressed face for weeks. Think it's because of the year-end dilemma - owe suppliers money and customers owe you too. To add salt, it's a count-down 3 days to our Korea trip, so my mom gets so busy settling everything before she goes! She's so busy that she comes home at an average of 9pm everyday, late dinner :S She asked why didn't I eat first. I do not know either! Guess I'm also busy with my own stuff so I do not usually realize it's already that late. My friends said they eat at 6pm :O

Anyway, the enjoying is inverted because I promised myself to do a little studying today. So let's just wish I do not end up sitting in front of the comp harassing the keyboards!

Just a side note, though I sort of keep complaining how unwilling I am to study, I still feel really fortunate to be able to do so. Gosh, I do not wanna grow up! Being a student is so much better than sitting in an office on a day-to-day basis, nine to five. Recalling, the one month I worked in Citibank felt like one year! So boring :( I really wish I could work from home in the future. But it's impossible :/

Okay, I really should kick butt now. Pronounce b a i s.

Hello wanton noodles! ♥

Not sure if I had ever officially blogged about my photo gang named Photo Phellowers, so I just do it now :) It's s'where between November 2010. And sometimes you've just gotta get amazed by the power of fate. People who are meant to be would stick, and those who don't, would eventually detach and leave no matter how hard they try to cling. Good friends are those you feel comfortable the first instant you talk to 'em. Am really glad P.P. has gone this far, seeing that none of us had actually expected it, at all.

It started as a spontaneous outing between Steph, Joon and Tong Yuen, as they're primary school friends. Steph then brought me along and Joon brought Calv. Maybe because we all speak Chinese, and we're all from Serdang, it didn't really take long for us to feel the warmth of each other. Most importantly, it is the passion for photography that aided in creating the strong bond. It feels really great that you can talk in common and will not feel inferior because you are god damn sure everyone is constantly in the learning process and by exchanging views and opinions, we improve, and get better, all together. Oh sorry, I forgot to include Hui Wen! She joined us months ago, thanks to me (NGEHAHAHA). Being the youngest and cutest (:P), I feel really glad that she always tries her best to make it to our outings, even though she stays so far away from us.

I wish P.P will continue to create more memories. Perhaps a trip or whatsoever. We even have our own tee specially customized by Steph, with the logo on the left. See? It's a double-P, with the second one embedded in the first. The dots represent each of the member and the central tiny circle is sort of like the camera lens. Simple, but meaningful :) Well defined.

Been months we hadn't met. Decided for a short lunch session at Poco last Saturday. Fi joined us :) Hope it didn't bore him! :P

I think I outta be given the-most-dedicated-blogger award. It's 1.31am now! And I'm here, despite promising myself that I have to complete trillion tonnes of work tomorrow, just because ... I CARE. *proud grin* By the way, sorry for the MIA, got really busy recently. Time is absholuteli insufficient, helloooooo, give me more please! :( But I'll try to balance up! :) Let's wish, I do succeed tomorrow. Think I'm gonna fail thou ... *smack head* I enjoy listening to teachers but I hate memorizing what they've taught. ARGH.

Anyway, I attended Hebe's xmas party on yesterday's yesterday. Thought it's like a mini music sharing session but turned out, it's nothing much different from those signature-taking event. AND IT WAS SHO BERRY THE CROWDED. Q-ed for round 3+ hours. I think it's still worthwhile, she really looks so sibeh pretty and she's the only singer (at least for me) that I think can sing LIVE well.

There's a night I suddenly thought of death and it kind of freaked me out. Realized that life is indeed so fragile. You won't know when you're gonna leave. Accidents happen anytime, anywhere. Feel so afraid to even think of it. It will just happen in an instant without you knowing, and whatever you've been trying to work on all this while will suddenly mean nothing. Whatever future you've planned carries no more value. And most importantly, everyone else's gonna carry on with their lives but you will forever be excluded from it. Oh my God. How can this happen ... Don't :( Especially to my loved ones. Please don't ... :(

Can you believe it? My term one finals is due in a month! :O It feels like school has just reopened not long ago but we've actually arrived at the end of the term. Nooooh :'( Term two's gonna be sho tough! AHHH. Shall stop it before I go bang wall :/

Today's a day I'm gonna clear off my pending work (wish so). At least, 70% laah please! Before that, bluog to release stress :P Mom brought us to Uniqlo to buy some winter wear for the upcoming Korea trip. Yeshh, I'm going K two weeks before my finals! AUMAIGAWD. It's the week teachers give tips. AUMAIGAWDTWO. People's gonna be a hardcore while I play snow in K. AUMAIGAWDTHREE. I wanna ask Rachel to bring a video camera to record the whole lecture so I won't miss out but I'm afraid my teachers will be freaked out. Let's hope Rach's notes are sufficient 'nuff for my survival :D

By the way, Friday I'm gonna attend Hebe's mini concert @ Overtime with Fi! AHSHOHAPPYCANDAIDAIDAI!! Her voice and songs are SHOAWETHESOMECANDIE!

Today had been really tiring for me. Trying to stop my caffeine addiction :/ Ended up, I went home and took a 1++ hour nap. OMGESH HOW TO SLEEP TONIGHT :O So not motivated to do work, walking like a zombie whole day. ARGH how good if we do not need to sleep and will not feel tired at all! Then I will work like a mad cow. Just some lil' things to share. My neighbor bought 'em from Aussie! I love miniature a lot, but they are just way too costly in proportion to their sizes, so I don't have many of 'em. But I think I will start collecting now. The first thing I'd hafta do is buy a beautiful white wooden cabinet to display them. Awhh, isn't that luffffffly! :P If you know any nice online/ brick-and-mortar stores selling such lil' treasure, do tell me! Much appreciated yoo!

Hello meehoon soup! ♥

As a sequel of my reminiscence '09 post, this is gonna be about '10. 2010 is a sharp turning point of my life indeed. Going upwards, or down, I'm not sure, but it's certainly different. The biggest thing that caused all of the distinction, I think, would be the fact that I started driving. Just for your information, I failed my driving test twice (HAHAHA). My brother and father got so happy and kept teasing me, saying that's the one and only thing I've ever failed since I was born. Actually I still deny (until now) that it's because my driving skills sucked. You see, I actually did parking, three point turn and on-the-road pretty well. On-the road, especially, I passed with high marks. It's the frigging SLOPE that failed me :O Didn't get used to the clutch of the test car given and I was so nervous so I frigging failed twice just ON SLOPE. I think that's a really depressing point of my life (lol). I remember being so upset that I couldn't eat and sleep properly for the whole week. Thank God, all the misery is over. I will NEVER EVER drive a manual car again in my life! :P

The pre-days in college, most of my mates didn't start driving yet, so I was the driver. And really, when you start driving, it's when you start to learn independence.

1. Friends

Still have some secondary friends outings initially. Nowadays we see each other like once in half a year or even once a year! :S

2. Family
My family, of course, continued to be supportive. And I think it is very very important.

My mom really loves and enjoys hanging out with her sisters. See her 'sunshined' face!

My cousies! Middle one is an AngMoh :):) She berry beautiful!

I don't know. Some family don't really treat birthdays as a special day. In my family, for each member, we must at least buy and sing birthday song on the day itself. Never miss.

And my pretty maid :):) Mom said she has a new daughter :P

3. Baking class

It's a part-time 3-month course. Actually to be honest, it didn't really help. HAHA. But I enjoy baking a lot, not the washing and cleaning part! :P It's those times you embrace yourself in a world of flour and butter that you totally forget about the harsh reality and big problems surrounding you.

I still remember having a strong crush towards a guy in class and Fi came to be my savior :P And I'm really glad he did.

4. Random

In 2010, I loved shooting random things.

5. Gucci

Gucci never fails to be a part of our life. He still looked so young by then! :D I personally love this a lot. He's staring at his mouse friend. HAHA.

And dontchu think grooming can totally change how a dog looks? See this!

6. Me

Short-haired :) Of course it's more comfy, but I'm so not gonna cut it again! Used lots time to grow till this length :(

I remember wearing this shorts and let my lecturer scold, saying it's too short. Opsss!

7. Photography

So on January 2010, I got myself a DSLR for RM1800. Mom wasn't really happy because I already had a compact camera and she couldn't see why would I opt for something so much heavier and uglier. But I guess she understands now :P

I attended photography basic class at Mr. Kim's. He was a really great teacher.

I was the youngest in class!

Photography outings ...

And I remember being so excited I wanted to shoot everyday. Brenda was my model! :)

And shooting objects once in awhile. There'd often be people who went like walao like this also wanna take photo?! I think they'd never understand! Shooting 10000 things and there'll sure be one that surprises you. And I will certainly go for that 10000 to get that precious stone. I think that's the most important thing in photography - discover. And I always remember one sentence - I will never be good enough. So learn.

Looking back my old photos made me realize so many things. Should really do it once in awhile, to see how far you've gone. And how your perspective towards daily ordinary things have changed.

Outdoor model shooting for the first time. I think the pictures do not really look nice. In fact, they look so ordinary. Till now, I would still say I am not into model shooting. Not like I'm not interested, just there're too many factors to consider. Mainly, human factor. They move, have feelings and get tired if you can't get it right. I can shoot an object whole day without feeling bad for letting it pose so long. I can shoot scenery because it is static and it won't expect anything from me. In model shooting, what the model ever cares about is whether she looks pretty enough to share the pics on Facebook. From my point of view, I do not really care how she looks, I only care how natural the lighting is, how good the picture composition is, and how natural the model is posing. I think that, disqualifies me of being a good photographer because I do not really respect my model. I delete whatever I feel is ugly, without letting her choose.

So obviously, I admit I really suck at model shooting. Always get so envied of those beautiful model pix from some professional photographers. I wish I could be like 'em one day too! That's to say I should stop being so shy and should really communicate more with my models.

Just some pictures of HK last year. The first time bringing my DSLR overseas! I love MASHIMARO! The -.- eyes! Slanted one :P

Sekinchan, a place that motivated and inspired me a loooot! It's really a very beautiful place. A shooting paradise. It made me realize oh, I can take good pictures actually! :P I will certainly go back again :):)

So over-exposed! :/

Am not trying to boast how pro I am at photography or whatsoever, just wanna share my lil' journey :) It changed my life.

I have a dream.

8. TBF

My foundation year was really colorful. I mentioned in the previous post that I was a typical home-girl who stayed at home studying all day. From the start of foundation, I told myself it's high time to change and I really did it. I opened up a lot.

It's wonderful realizing how a bunch of strangers could gradually get closer and closer and eventually, you'd be proud standing next to 'em telling others, hey, see, these're my friends, and I love 'em. There're a lot of days I would not forget. Although all of us are heading in different directions now, and majority (maybe all) don't really look back and miss the past days like me now, I just feel really glad that I wasn't alone. And that made a huge difference. At least, everyday when I was heading to school, I no longer felt reluctant like how I did in high school. At least, when I went out to present, I no longer felt that shy just because I didn't really know my audiences.

Oh well. Move on right :) I love my new mates now, too :) Unfortunately, we'll only be together for around 8 months :/

Peek's hair was so short! You should see how girlish she looks like now :D

Shaunie.

And again, the EWE days! It's the biggest project for that semester (and perhaps for the whole course). That night was unforgettable. First time feeling the spirit of team work.

And my good good pal, Loi. Peek, me and him used to form a trio. We are the Totapo, Tomato, and LoiLoi.

Remember that my tyre punchit the next day when I was about to send 'em to school. Drove my bro's Harrier for the first time lastly. They were so scared inside. HAHA.

On the day. We used days and nights to complete the dolls. It's like an assembly line. Wei designed the outfits and dolls and we cut it out from the fabric and stick. I still think, until today, that we had the best board among all.

The beautiful conceptual logbook. Since cents save lives (donations from the rich save the poor), when you push the hand down, the cent will drop and the heart can be opened. Inside, there're people (adults and children), hand in hand, smiling happily. Thanks to Loi's idea.

Had been in fringe for the whole foundation. Oh my god, so daogei-ish!

On the day he 'proposed', in his car. The cute lil' frog. I think it's already so obvious that time. It's just the matter of an official question. I remember being so blushed that I didn't dare looking at him!

Our first ring :) Sorry I lost it! But no worries, love is kept in heart and it'll never get lost.

I know I've been a big time coward for not doing what I am supposed to to, for not being brave enough to do a recognition. Sorry, I will try...

Hello French toast! ♥

Today is Saturday, a day specially reserved for Fi (: This week is an exception, though. I complained how unwilling I was to do my assignments and how time was insufficient to me. He asked me to stay at home and complete whatever pending and postponed our date to Mon. Heeee (; How thoughtful!

So, obviously I haven't started doing, despite the fact the it's already 1253. He told me that I hafta play (as in do what I really want and feel like doing) before I start my work, so that I'd be more motivated. HAHA. For the old me, this's a BIG NO NO. Reminiscing days in SPM, I really wonder how I managed to be that discipline. Y'know I'd forbid myself from watching television, playing computer, and even eating if I didn't finish what I was supposed to study. Thank God the effort did pay. Just think that I will forever not be able to be like how I was like last time, that kind of hardcore-ness! Not sure if it's a good thing, or bad? Good side is that it's a guaranteed good results, bad side is that it's a guaranteed depression. Was really unhappy, especially in year '09. Everyday I repeated the same routine, school, lunch, study, sleep. I didn't have tuition, so I depended all on reference books. Y'know how thick a SUCCESS ref book is? I think I almost read every word of it.

Anyway, it's really dilemmatic. I think I tend to slack a lot, every since the start of degree life. Yes, I do my work and revise, but I no longer read additional materials to fully comprehend the topics. Sigh. Y'know I'm so afraid to disappoint people? That kind of pressure is invisible, but bold. Every time they say, aiyah, you sure can one lah, sure High D for all lah... I really would wanna ask, what if I fail? I ain't that good, please make it clear.

Anyway, 2009 is an ordinary year, as I mentioned. Fortunately, I was surrounded by a lot of lovely people. Digged a lot of pics out from my old comp. Showing you my dears :):)

1. Friends

This's my gang of girls. Yesh, we're that pathetic! No guys in our group. HAHA. But we're completely happy with each other's company.

One of my besties, Chien Wei. She made a strong impact in my life. It's because of her, I treated my study really seriously. And my style of studying is greatly influenced by her.

Btw, sorry I forgot to rotate some pics! Turn your neck, exercise! :D

Editorial Board. Didn't really mix in that well with 'em, because all of 'em were so good at English and I wasn't ...

He's around 4 months old by then. So tiny yet so cute! Awww. Can dogs live forever? I don't know how I will be like if one day he leaves ... :'(

Mom is forever like that! HAHA. Too shy to receive the kiss and acted as if she didn't care. HAHA.

And my grandpa, forever in remembrance. He passed away few months after this picture was taken. And it's the only pic of me and him. Though I don't have a lot of memories with him, he'd always be the lovely man in my heart. I still remember how he crawled down from his bed and passed me RM50 just because my mom told him I got the first place in class when I was standard 2. He didn't speak a lot, but his actions often told everything. Of the painful years he's having Alzheimer's, I've seen the depression in my mom's and aunts' eyes, always trying to give him the best. My mom said he's sick because he worked too hard when he's young. How fortunate is my generation ...

Grandpa, I love you. Hope you're doing well in Heaven.

4. Brother

Up to the year Hui's born, my bro was my best playmate. We'd bolster fight but always managed to get along well at last. And he's really a good brother. Still remember there's once he spent his entire pocket money of the day to buy me a pencil box and starved. The foolish me told mom he wasted money simply and so, he's scolded badly by her. How bad I was! :P And I remember how he taught me to say bad words and point the middle finger, telling me it's a good thing to point. I pointed to my mom while smiling happily and my mom was like so shocked. HAHAHA.

And when we quarreled, I'd always threaten to tear off all of his Pokemon and Digimon stickers. He'd then surrender.

As days passed, we grow up, physically and mentally. I have to admit we're not as close anymore. In fact, I don't know him and he don't know me now. Not that we're having arguments, just, sometimes, things are bound to change. I can't seem to agree or accept what he does, and sometimes, it even leads to hatred. During childhood, everything was much easier, and I ain't sure if we could go back to how we used to be, at all.

Always so funny and weird! :P

5. Me

No need to elaborate gua? :P Just how I looked like in '09.

I was having real low self-esteem due to my pimples problem. I'd apply thick pimple cream whenever I went and got very reluctant to play water games because it'd wash my cream away :/ I'd feel terribly hurt when someone commented on my face. And I did whatever I could to make things better: became a vegetarian, stopped eating fried food, slept at 10pm everyday, drank a lot of water, applied cream every day and night, facial often, etc etc. My meal, in particular, was painful. When everyone's enjoying KFC, I picked the salad to eat. I refrained myself from eating my favorite food, just because I wanted my face to be better. My friends said I was crazy because I only liked eating veges, but they never understood how bad I felt, how I wished to eat the fried chicken everyone's eating but not the tasteless lettuce by its side. I'd go to the extremes if it meant I'd have good skin.

It didn't really help, after all. My mom brought me to a skin specialist in Subang at last.

The stressful SPM days. Reading something I hated the most, Physics.

6. Sisters.

The most wonderful thing ever happened to me in 2009 was having a bunch of good sisters. I think I really have got the big sister look. Since Form 2, lots small girls had been asking me to accept them as my little pet sis. I did accept all of them. If I were to count, it'd be 10++. However, the ones I was close with were only a few. And I am really glad they've entered my life.

This is my real sister, and I love her.

Shermaine.

Glue! I think we've known each other for around 7 years. And she's always so lovely. Always send me a sweet message when I'm feeling low. We're the Glue and Nipple! HAHAHA.

Brenda, ex neighbor! We used to dressed up and played around everyday :) And yes, she's very beautiful!

Stephanie, best pal since I was Form 1? Never thought we'd be that close. That's the first time I really got to hold a DSLR, and she's the one who inspired me to start on a path of photography.

Don't know how should I thank them. But sisters, thanks for everything, for all we've been thru. I love everyone of you. If it's possible, I wish we can stay together next time! :D

That comes to an end. Don't know why, I was weeping looking thru all the old pictures. Perhaps because of the realization on how much I've grown up. Past, of course, can't be rewound. But, it's shaped who you are today. Looking back makes me realize how important it is to hold and appreciate everyone around. You'll never know when they're going to leave. And, everyone you meet in life is not a coincidence, but rather a fate. They paint your life. Whether it's black paint or color paint they're applying, each of them contributes to the grand montage of your life.

Y'know there'll be days you won't wanna do anything at all? This happens to me once in awhile (without me being able to control) and I really hate it! It's like, sleep, eat, tv, comp, homework ... ... nothing interests me! :( L I F E L E S S .

Been thinking whether to go UK one year, or two? If two, then I'll be leaving next year September :/ My mom wants me to do two, which I don't really want, but somehow feel so afraid to tell her. Sigh. My pa also asked me to go for only one, but he's, too, afraid to confront her. HAHAHA.

There're always things you can't tell, because heart is the only safe place on Earth to keep a secret.

Hello hawaiian pizza! ♥

Hmmz, let's see what I have got for an update. It's been raining terribly these days! Terrible jam. There's this stretch of road outside Tayl. which NEVER FAILS to get flooded everytime it rains -.- Being a loving mommy to my car, I constantly murmured to her while passing the pool. Baby, good girl ah, don't stuck ah, go go go, you can do it! Okay, this seems to be abnormal, but I don't know why s'times I DO treat objects as living organism. Not a cult whatsoever, just I somehow believe there's at least a soul attached to 'em, eventhou they don't breathe and eat. Guess it's because of my personality? Y'see, I always find it hard to accept the differences between human. Objects are different, they obey and listen. I blanket and kiss my three favorite soft toys (named BiBi, BuBu and BaBy) everynight before I sleep. It's like a duty! And s'times when I need to tear, I talk to Baby, although she never really replies me. HAHAHA. (she better don't or I'll get so frightened!) Anyway, BaBy is 12 years old, BiBi is 1.5 year old and BuBu is 11 months old.

Love it when I drive alone (: Blaaaast to the maximus and fart as I like (just occasionally no worries HAHAHA :P ). And I like to act like I'm in a movie when emo/ sentimental songs are broadcasted via the stereo. Y'know? That kind of lanyeng look with your right hand on the bottom of the window panel (like Jay Chou in Initial D) and your single left hand holding the steering like you're so capable of driving fast and stable? HAHA. Don't think you can imagine that! :P

My day has been really boring! The only highlight is the dinnah session @ OldTown. Wanted to do some shootings this afternoon but it rained :/ Anyway, like finally I added new guys to my wardrobe! Say hello bello to new friends! :):) Haaaaapy, but I think I've bought not enough :P

Speaking of OldTown ... Since it's so so near to my house, I didn't bathe and dress up AT ALL just now. Y'know, that kind of look with bun and spec and an oily face which wasn't even washed since I woke up (HAHA been too busy doing stuff)? Like so 'fortunately', met three friends. ARGHH. Face dunnoe hide where good .__.

And blogging everyday makes me lose out of words to say :/ So bais.

Insta 02 - {dirtybird}

There's this filter in Instagram named Earlybird (my all time fav!). It yields an effect of a brownish wash. By desaturating the initial photo and adding Earlybird, it gives pictures a coat of dirty brown, hence the name, dirtybird :)

So apparently, I haf not many pixies left, due to my studies. Since I still have to entertain you, I decided to organize and categorize pictures from Instagram into several folders. I spent that afternoon messing the whole sewing box to find cute stuff, and all of 'em were taken by iPhone4.

Forgotten what I wanna say. Oh ya! Nez week I'll be SO DAMN LONELY MEEEN. Bro goes out everyday so let's just exclude him. Pa going China for work. Most importantly, Bui going for motivational camp! In case you haven't already known, it's OBS - Outward Bound School. A really tough camp for teens! TEN DAYS! All the best, dear Bui!

I wish I could be more expressional (is there such word? HAHA) in love! I'm always so shy to tell people I love and really care/ worry 'em! Sigh, I WANT A CHANGE! ):

Went Poco w Fi again today! Our usual Saturday plan (: Very expensive I know, but can't help! Anyway, I don't know what has happened, but it seems that in the recent weeks it's become more crowded. Laz week we even had to wait for others to complete their meals to secure our seats. Guess there's newspaper whatsoever advertising Poco. AIYOOO. I no want lah! I asked Fi to buy the whole Poco for me! :D He said okay, and we even discussed who'd be the cashier and the chef and the designer and I told him I'd wanna change the interior once in a few months so that visitors wouldn't get bored! HAHAHA. As if it's real!

I however dislike going with people I'm not comfy with! It just spoils the whole thing! For now, we're so 'cook' with the whole shop we don't need a menu and can directly blurt all the dishes for order out! Omelet curry rice for me, chic katsu don for Fi, and tofu cheese cake with soya green tea for both of us! HEHEHE.

Felt really happy! :D

枯叶与我，我与枯叶。

今天本来计划做些对我而言有意义的事，
可很明显，又failed了。
哈哈。
摸到了相机，
真的很亢奋，什么事都不想做只想拍照。
可惜小天来大姨妈，脾气暴躁得下了很大的大大雨。
本人是真的不懂欣赏雨的美（除睡觉外）。
只觉得雨好烦，什么都不能做。
人家说雨好浪漫，我只觉得雨好忧郁。

最近的生活算是上了小轨道。
跟同学也三八起来。
可我这个人非常有所保留。
你或许觉得我人挺有善，也挺善谈，
可我是个很难才会告诉你我心里故事的人。
不是特意掩饰，只是有时我会觉得这世界的人，
总跟我channel不对，说了会不舒服。
anyway，又有多少人真的愿意聆听，也真的愿意分担？

今天我穿了高鞋上课。

学校最近举办大吸血活动。
每天三五两天就请人来摆档，卖些美美的小东东，

最近也爱喝咖啡到极点。

就喝了很爽，
所以就死命喝咯！

今天帮我的小白买了cath kidston 新皮。
很喜欢复古碎花的pattern!

头上还有一粒小小玫瑰！

傍晚。其实这照也没什么看点。只是，纯粹喜欢那阳光隐约透进的感觉：）十五分钟后天就暗完了。心中挺失落的。。　

暂时就酱。现在算起，我大约只有五小时多的睡眠时间然后得驾车上学。悲惨啊！不过自作自受。哈哈！
